Gifts for the Adventurous

a Memphis Traveler's 2015 Christmas List Part 2 - $25-$100

Part 2 of the 2015 Christmas Gift List includes gifts in the ranges of $25-$50 and $50-$100 to try to keep things a little organized.

$25-$50:

The first item isn't directly outdoors related, but it can be in the EDC category and everybody has to secure passwords on computers these days.  If you are like me, many, many passwords.

YubiKey Edge - $30

This seems like a great option for a password database with a physical aspect to verify your presence when logging into your accounts.

ThruNite Ti CW 162 Lumen LED Key Chain Flashlight - $30

AAA size EDC multi mode key chain light

Vanquest FATPack 5x8 First Aid Trauma Pack - $43

Vanquest is an American company and they have some great designs.  This quick access First Aid kit is no exception.  All items are secured inside the pack that is designed with a quick access pull handle to quickly deploy the pack while it is attached to the outside of your larger bag.  This is at the top of my want list for a new first aid carry option.  They are available in black, coyote or grey.

Survivor Filter - $30

With a higher level of filtration than other filters and replaceable parts, this is on my gear upgrade list.

Italian Army Style Wool Blanket -$35

Its always a good idea to have a wool blanket in your car for emergencies especially with the Winter months coming up.  This could even be used in a kids room on the bed.

Gerber StrongArm Fixed Blade Knife $45-$60

Love this knife!  The price ranges depending on the color and blade options.  I got Coyote Plain or Fine edge.  I have previously reviewed this knife but I think it is still worth including here.

$50-$100:

Jetboil Flash Personal Cooking System - $80 on Sale

If you don't mind getting one in Camo or Buffalo Plaid these are a great deal right now.  They are normally around $100.

Explore Outfitters PRO Nylon Double Hammock - $55

Thorogood American Heritage Plain Toe Work Boot - $170 - 20% off with Veteran's Day Code 20VETERANS will drop it to around $135

Good value American made boots

ESEE 6P-B Plain Edge Fixed Blade Survival Knife - $120

A little over $100 but you are getting a great, true survival knife with sheath.

Part 1 is here if you missed it.

I hope this helps with some new ideas for gifts.
Stay safe,
